Christmas List

Now it’s December I’m trying to embrace the Christmas spirit a bit more. I made my Christmas list today and found it surprisingly difficult. I’m very specific with what I want which kind of take the fun and surprise out of getting presents but I live with two unobservant men so needs must. I’ve wanted a bag from the Cambridge Satchel Company for a while so I’m really hoping I find it in my stocking come the 25th.

As a fashion obsessive and a little bit of a history geek I’m also dying for some good fashion books; there’s so many good ones about it’s difficult to be selective!

Its the most wonderful time of the year

OR is it?!

Working in retail I get to experience the magical festivities of Christmas from mid October! Which does get rather tedious by December 25th! There are only so many times a girl can listen to Fairytale of New York before she goes crazy! Only so many obnoxious brats one can put up with demanding the earth when it comes to presents. Only so many mince pies one can consume before feeling sick. And don’t even get me started on the way the public treat us poor shop workers…please remember that we ARE people too!

Christmas! (Disney x Barneys NY style)

I’m the first to admit I’m a scrooge when it comes to Christmas. I don’t really get excited about it but obviously I love love love getting presents. However the collaboration between Disney and Barneys for their holiday display almost warms my cold frozen heart.

Entitled ‘Electric Holiday’, the video is part of Barneys window display and features iconic fashion figures such as Alber Elbaz (my favourite), Nicolas Ghesquiere and Anna Dello Russo mingling with classic Disney characters. They even got SJP, who features in the clip, to attend the grand unveiling of the window display.

Luckily for me this video is more Disney and fashion-y than Christmassy; c-c-c-c-c-check it out:

I want to go to Disneyland Paris SO MUCH after watching this! Who wants to take me…..anyone….?
